Holzhueter is the former associate editor of the Wisconsin Magazine of History and is well known throughout the state for his weekly broadcasts about Wisconsin history prepared for Wisconsin Public Radio.  Besides speaking and writing on Wisconsin topics, he has acted as a bibliographic and reference consultant for academic and lay historians from around the country and was closely involved with the six-volume History of Wisconsin project.
